There are marked walks and four wheel drive trails on the farm, a cycling track via Laura and Stone Hut passes right by the gate and the Heysen and Mawson Trails are not far away. Children love to feed the farm animals and the sights and sounds of a crackling bonfire under the stars are very popular with all generations. On-farm mountain bike trails and hosted catch and release fishing tours will be available in 2012.

Smith's Farmstay is close to the lovely township of Laura, the country home of Golden North ice cream and an easy two and a half hour drive from the capital city of Adelaide.
